Retention, processing and usage of personal data
When retaining, processing or using your personal data we on do so in accordancce with the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz and the Telemediengesetzes (applicable German data protection legislation).
Personal data
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person such as the name, telephone number, and all information you give us in your customer account.
Customer account
We only supply customers who register a password protected account with us. The data processing occurs in accordance with the with Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO and with your consent. You are are obliged not to reveal your log-in deatails to another person or party. We can’t take over any responsibilty for the abuse of your customer account unless we are specifically responsible for the abuse.
Purpose of data processing and usage of personal data
We process and retain personal data in accordance to the Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO to be able to process your queries and orders including their payment as well as checking credit worthiness (if applicable) and for our own advertising purposes and to be able to process queries connected to your orders, payments and warranties (if applicable). All data given to our service providers such as carriers is only allowed to be used in connection with the fulfillment of your questions, orders and payments.
Right of disclosure and deletion of personal data
You have the right (according to the Art. 15 - 20 DSGVO), of disclosure of your retained personal data as well as the right of correction, suspension, deletion or transferral of data. The deletion of your personal data will occur if you have successfully demanded the rightful deletion or if the data is no more needed to fulfill it’s original purpose, provided that no legal reasons prohibit the deletion. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files which help to make the website more efficient and user freindly. Most of the cookies are used for technical reasons such as session cookies and cookies necesary for controlling cacheing functions and will be deleted within 24 hours. You can control the use of cookies, such as deaktivation, in your web browser however doing so will prevent the website from working properly.
Third party services and content
The foil direct website also contains third party services such as google fonts and YouTube videos as well as technical data sheets and pictures from other websites. Your browser will pass this information on to the third party service providers when using the services and viewing their data.
Logfiles
Our website saves log files which contain basic information such as the type of browser you use, your IP-adress, computer host name and the time of the server request. This data will be automatically deleted after 14 days and is used to analyse possible abuse of the website.
Sessions
During the time you are logged in to our website (session), your user name, client-IP and time you logged in are saved. This is to help us to prevent abuse of the website. The data will be deleted when you log-out.
Secure connection
When visiting our website your data will be peotected by the Secure Socket Layer (SSL), encryption system. This can be recignised by the https:// and green lock symbol in the address area oft he browser.
